Lecture stresssssssssssssssss

Geraldine is sitting next to me,

Geraldine is really bored,

Geraldine says she is beautiful,

And I'm thinking: " Oh Lord!"

Becky is on the other side,

Becky thinks we need a life,

Becky wants us to shut up,

And we think she should grow up.

Rachel is also sitting here, 

Rachel is somehow having fun  .... (NOT)

Rachel is playing with the plug

And we're all hoping it brings her luck.

These short verses were brought to you in collaboration with the Euro-Med lecture on this very chilly Friday afternoon, as a result of boredom and the dire need for us girls to get a life. Now I'm expecting comments from Ger, Rach AND Beck (yes Becky....it's really you); didn't write a poem about myself cos I'm too special, so suggestions welcome:P best post wins a special prize....ha ha ha

Viva l-Karnival

It's official: carnival is the most useless and ridiculous holiday out there, and I hate it....HATE IT!!!!
No offence to all you carnival lovers out there, but I see little joy in dressing up as god knows what and parading the streets of Valletta, Hamrun and wherever else looking like an idiot, with loud loud music playing everything from the Macarena to a Happy Birthday rock remix, and Claudette Pace screeching in the background. At least that's what carnival sounds likes from the super thick, many centuries old walls of Sjc, where I happened to be during not one but TWO such carnival afternoons/evenings. And where I am writing at this very minute. aaaaaaaaaaa

Not in the best of mood's today sorry....I don't wanna be in this place (literally, and metaphorically), and I just wanna cover myself with my quilt and continue watching House till I dose off.

On a completely different note, this is for Liana and Matthew....I know you love it and I love it too. I miss you guys. xxxx

Man it's cold! Slept for an hour, expected to find my feet nice and warm...but nah....one whole block of ice. It's never been so cold before; it's usually nice and sunny in February, and we're practically in March now so it's usually summer already. ehh....the world's coming to an end, or global warming is finally catching up on us....whatever it is....

Confusion

You reach a certain point in your life, where you more or less know what you want to be doing in the near future, and have more or less decided which path to take, when suddenly a new, enticing option pops up out of nowhere and takes you completely by surprise. The only trouble is choosing which path to actually take; the one you had decided to pursue all along, or the new unknown option.

It's safe to say I'm going through this myself; I've been thinking about it all the time for a long while now, and this weekend was a sort of a revelation which left me all the more confused. I have till the 22nd of May to finish off and give in my thesis, then a couple of exams and after that.....who knows? The world's all mine to discover. Problem is, I'm not quite sure I'm ready to discover the world as yet. I'm happy with my life as it is right now, with the things I'm doing and the people who are in it, and I'm so afraid the change will bring along changes to the relationships with the people I've come to love so much in these last couple of years, months and weeks. It all oh so stressful....sigh.

A few months ago I was panicking because I didn't see any roads to take in front of me, and now....there are so many I don't know which one to chose.

I'll decide eventually I guess....hope I manage to make the right choice.


Until then, thesis writing continues:)

Happy Valentine's Day

Since today is officially the feast dedicated to love, I thought it best to dedicate a special blog to the occasion. I received the cutest ecard ever from a great friend this morning, and liked the message so much that I've decided to share; after all, Valentine's day isn't just about love between two people, but it's about celebrating with all those who are there for you through the good times and the bad, the ups and downs, the highs and lows, every single day of your life. And I must say I feel really blessed that I have many of those people in my life:)

Anyway here goes:

Valentine's Day is the perfect day for remembering special people:

Sick

I was sick two weeks ago....and I didn't let myself get better properly so got sick again this week:S...must say today's the worst day so far this week....I've been coughing all morning and have no voice, plus my nose and ears hurt. It's so sad.

Guess I'm stuck inside today in bed, wrapped up in a million quilts...I HAVE TO get better by tomorrow....big plans and will see them through no matter what:)

It's off to write some thesis then I guess....

AAAAAAAAA My first result just came out....or rather it came out earlier today but me and my course mates only realised it now....and I passed:):):) i'm so happy I could sing....in fact, I probably will:D

Life is good....sometimes we just don't realise it.

Due to the alarming number of blogs that have been arising in these past months, I've decided to join the mass and create my very own; a welcome distraction from Facebook I guess:)

Not planning to write much, but will occassionally jot down some random thoughts as thesis stress starts to pile up (and that should happen pretty soon I guess now:S).

In case you're wondering about the inspiration behind my blog name, Supermassive Black Hole is a Muse song, and Leave Out All The Rest is Linkin Park's, and they both feature in the recent Twilight movie, which of course I am TOTALLY crazy about...sigh...
